Thrasher is a highly influential monthly skateboarding magazine founded in 1981 by Fausto Vitello and Eric Swenson in San Francisco. Known as the "skateboarding bible," it acts as an encyclopedia of skate culture, covering news,, photography, and, since 1990, the prestigious Skater of the Year (SOTY) award.
